There exist countless definitions of the word “culture” and different studies (e.g. linguistics, biology, etc.) use the word in different meanings.
On this blog, the word “culture” is used in the ethnolinguistic sense to denote particular features of people’s everyday life, their study, work, business and other habits or customs used to achieve certain communicative goals.
Similar to nonverbal means of communication, culture is an important aspect in language learning as it affect the way people communicate.
At Edocation, our instructors are well aware of the cultural aspect of the communicative competence, therefore, the cultural aspect is interwoven in our language course syllabi. If you would like to learn one of the world modern languages or get to know the Canadian culture, you can take the corresponding course.
